Quick questions about flipping clones to 12/12

Ok I have noticed when I flip a clone 2 weeks old versus a Teen plant like (6 WEEKS OLD) 2 feet tal and 2ft wide, does the small clone takes LONGER to show sex or it doesnt matter, im trying to pin that down if age matters when trying to discover sex in a plant.
