hi guys my first time growing and i just wanted to ask a few questions. i have vegetated my plants for about 1 month and a week today and i currently have them under the 18 hours of light a day, i use the light outside for the day (which seems to get pretty hot 25 - 35 degrees celcius), then when the sun goes down i put them under fluro's for the remainder of the hours. they still seem to be not as big so i was just wondering should i extend the vegetation from something like 2 months to higher before i flower 12/12 ?

How much bud do you want? Because that plant right there if flipped to 12/12 won't produce much.

Rule of thumb for me is I veg it until it gets to about half the height I want the finished plant. I also grow outside during the day and place them under lights to finish their daylight hours, works great, the best of both worlds. I find for me the veg time from seed usually runs around 4 to 6 weeks, all strain dependent on how fast they grow. Clones I veg to about 3/4 of the height I am looking for since they don't usually stretch nearly as much as seedlings. Good Luck in your grow.

How deep is your pot? and it does have lots of water drain holes right? I find when using a shallow pot such as yours, the plant does not grow as tall...Are you watering it through, does water drip out bottom? I think your root complex has issues.... However, Good Luck!

Are they outside, or in a window? Your plant seems to be lacking enough light to thrive, so when you do go to 12/12 make sure you have GOOD lighting, not merely adequate lighting. Good luck

I'm not 100% on how big the pot is and they sit outside during the day and come under light at night, if pot is the problem what's a good size pot u guys recommend so the plant can grow comfortably?

My personal belief is to the bigger and deeper the better depending on your set up for height limits. Anything over about 30 inches should be in at least a 5 gallon container, joint compound and paint buckets are really great containers. Having a good soil in a proper sized container for the plant will make your grow much easier for you. If you are just starting out you want as easy as possible while you learn how the plant grows and produces. By the way welcome to RIU I hope that you enjoy your stay.
