Quick Question...

So I planted one of my germinated seeds into some dirt...literally, it's just dirt from my yard. I put in the seed. How long until it should be poking out? after it's a few days out of the dirt, I'm gonna move it into potting soil...if this was a bad idea to start with, cause if so, I have 3 other germinating seeds yet to poke their tales out, but slightly cracked...anyway, if it was a bad idea, i'll just plant the other 3 into potting soil and stuff.

I would just start with the good soil. Why would you want to transplant anyways if you dont have to or at least thats how i see it.

Yeah...that was my philosophy, but my main veg. grow room isn't ready yet, im using a temporary one. Anyway, I don't see why regular dirt wouldn't work. I mean, I know outdoor and indoor growers who've gotten success with dirt...besides, they grow wildly in it, so why not?

Why not? Hmmm ... not the right nutrients. Not the proper drainage. Pathogens in the soil. There's a few reasons for ya. Now then, why try to invent the wheel? Just put the germinated seed into a small pot with a good soil mix. If you want a good mix, I'll give you instructions. Just ask ...

Thanks Mogie, and everyone, I wish I would've none this sooner, the one seed I put into dirt died :(

BUT! I have 3 germinated seeds in some good potting soil with perlite and all that good stuff that I bought today. It's NPK is 10, 8, 6. Pretty good. Nice, fluffy, loose soil, perfect stuff almost according to the grow videos I've watched. It doesn't get muddy like that dirt did, stupid me, lol.

Anyway, I'm still experimenting, me always being the curious one...one of my friend's who is an outdoor grower does this...he takes the seeds, and without germinating, just sticks em into soil and let's em grow. He says it works...so curious me put one un-germinated seed into some soil, lol.

Will this work?

this seems like kind of a stupid question to me, sorry not to be rude but isnt it obvious why high quality soil is a better choice, and listen to these people on here they know what they are talkin about.

your not retarded, you are just ignorant with what you are doing. no problem there, just hold your head up and continue the grow. might end up being the best smoke you ever had. PEACE!
