I have had my plants that are about 2 months old on 12/12 for about 3 days and one is a female but the other hasnt showed sex yet. What would be a safe amount of time to leave them on 12/12 before i switch them back to 24 hours of light?

I would say a week to 10 days

wait are you just trying to figure out their sexes and then switch the lights back to re-veg them??

are you as curious as i am? i know that people do this but im just wondering if thats what he is planning to do or just has the wrong info on how to flower ya kno?

Sounds like he is trying to sex the plants. But if they're 2 months old they should be mature enough to start flowering anyway. Why not just leave them on 12/12?

not quite as big as i would like them im doing it on cfls and im going to switch to hps when flowering im just trying to figure out the sex so i can get more room under the lights.
