Quick question for the pro's

I want to thank everyone in advance for all the posts I have read, tons of great info.

Sorry to beat a dead horse with my question but all plants seem to be their own individuals.

My girl started from a seed I found in a nug (rare), after a few weeks in sunlight on the patio she went under UV for veg back in June. Now she has been under a 250w hps since August 8th and been getting fed Flora Nova bloom.

She is in soil, Miracle Grow.

I see about 20-30% brownish hairs, bought a 30x scope from my local hydro shop and everything is clear still.

I have read 2 months or so to flower and that would put me almost 3 weeks out still. Am I on track at 20-30% brown hairs or is it going to be ready sooner?

Pics were taken 4 days ago.

She has about twice as many brown hairs now than the pics.

Thanks:joint:

Nice pictures. She looks real good.

Its not the hairs that most people go by to tell when a plant is done its the white power you see on the tops called trichomes, If you want to look closely you will see they are mostly cloudy, thats a sign of them processing and tells you your plant is ripe. Now how long you want to wait is up to you. By waiting the buds get bigger and the plant dies turning the trichomes an amber color. Thats when the true phenotypes come out. Colors like blue red and purple hues.

Most people don't wait that long.

When you think you are ready I would recommend to finish like this: Don't water for a few days to let it dry up some, hit it with about three times as much water as you normally do. just water, (the last watering) then let it sit for a few days, then dark 24/7 for the last three days. This will help your plant use up the remaining nutrients and the dark helps produce more trichomes. After all thats what gets you high.

Hang dry for a week, paper bag for a day or two, put in jars and open jars once a day for a week or so.

Good Job man.

A little update. After reading tons of info here and a great post by Zues I know now that patience in everything. Oct 8th will be 8 weeks into flower, after all that I have seen and read I think I might be chopping 3 weeks into October...roughly.

Snapped some pics today to show her progress.

Here are the pics from the first post:
