Quick question about light schedules

Hello fellow growers!

The situation at hand is: I have a couple of auto's coming up (like 2 weeks in now, so i put them under a HPS, they look happy under it, and are growing faster, look healthier) anyways, I also have 2 flowering plants (they are like halfway through). Now the auto's and the indoor's are in two seperate rooms, autos being on 18/6, and the indoor's being on 12/12 obviously. So basically electricity is sort of becoming a problem (raising a few eyebrows as to why its so high) and my way out is to basically put the indoors into the auto's room, on a 18/6 cycle. Can I do that? Wont it mess up the flowering period or something?

Tl;dr can I put a 12/12 plant into a 18/6 room without hurting its flowering?

To the best of my knowledge, no you cannot do that if you ever wish the plant to flower. It will revert back to veg

Yeah you'd be better putting the autos in with the indoors on 12/12.. Technically autos should go 18/6 the whole time since there's no need to knock em down to 12.

The way to look at this is your growing plan screwed up. You have too many eggs in your basket and the best way to take care of it is a loss of yield on the autos.. In the future you'll know what you can and cannot do electricity wise.

Been there before. "Too many eggs." IMO, put the auto in with the photo for the 12 hrs then move to the original room for the other 6. Yes a lil more work but just think of it as more time spent with your ladies. Also if u take my advice, while moving take that time to examine for possible pests/problems.

I am flowering some autos with some photos now under 13/11. You might be able to get away with a 14/10 schedule but it will prolong the photos flowering time and risk herming them and the autos will have a smaller yield.

You will not delay the flowering time of the auto by dropping down to 14,13, or 12(even 10 for some sativas) because generally it takes 12/12 to flower. But you dont wanna do that. Your growing autos which flower on their own, at the same time no matter the schedule. Dropping the number of hours of light only decreases the yield. If you only have a couple, and you move them to the photo room. You will save half a day of power from your auto room. Thats bout 66.99% power saved in auto room.

Put them all on 12/12 in same room with hps. auto's dont care how long the lights are on. they jsut grow and flower when they want too.
