Quick Question About Air Cooled Reflectors

In my particular case, I have nowhere to bring cold air in from, and I can vent it to where smell doesn't matter. But everyone's case is different.

Let me pose a related question:

If I now have a 400w hps and I keep temperatures manageable with an open reflector, and I switch to a 600w with air cooled hood and I vent it out (out only), will that venting be enough to compensate for the heat increase from 400 to 600? more than that?

should be fine as long as you pull enough cfms over it

Well Homefrog when you have a little tent grow, maybe your system is best. I run 3 xxxl 1000's, and I push cold air from outside, straight through all three sealed lights, and right straight back outside. You see, when you put you'r big boy pants on, you run sealed environemt, and don't pull your air out of the room, since REAL growers have CO2 computer operated systems. So before you flip people off, make sure you even qualify as someone who talk shit.

The only reason I have a carbon filter, is it's hung from the ceiling with an 8" inline run 24/7 to circulate and reduce inroom stink. No exhaust.

I'm even goign to change it up this winter in the next couple of days before I replant (emly right now for claning and sterilizing), and run the cold air through the lights, then connect it to a vent in the next room, which I currently keep warm with propane as my man cave. Free heat. In the summer, it'll go back outside.
