Quick question about a Larry OG pheno

Im growing several strains at once, everything is going fine. The Larry OG is beautiful, one of the nicest plants ive seen before. From a fem Cali Connection seed.

I flipped about 10 days ago after a 9.5wk veg, everything is stretching as expected except Larry! I planned for 2x to 3x stretch and so far it has grown from 13" to 16" tall. It is manifolded a big beautiful bush but very little stretch!

My question is for Larry OG pros...is the stretch delayed with Larry...or did I maybe find a pheno that doesn't stretch? I would be fine putting it on a stand to match the height of other plants...and maybe this is worth cloning? I have not found a grow diary anywhere where Larry does not stretch, usually a lot!

Thoughts?

After a week of on and off searching...i was surprised how difficult it was to find many comments about Larry OG phenos.

I found a helpful comment but also think i may be searching for an answer to fit my problem, so to speak. Anyway for others that may find this.

From a reputable site:
"...I've had this in my garden for a few years now. It is one of my absolute favorite OG's. I grew it from seed. There are two predominate phenotypes. They are very similar in flavor, scent, and bud structure, but vary in that one is short and the other is very lanky. Expect a medium high yield of very tight nugs with a low flower to leaf ratio and an incredible OG flavor with a lemon twist. It's sort of like lemon pledge or lemon candies with a dash of the OG funk. I highly recommend this bud to every one"

The comment about a short pheno from a 3 year grower is the best info i found confirming a shorter pheno. One other grow journal mentioned it did not stretch as much as expected. All others say beware, 2x, 3x, 4x!

Thanks again for helping!

I think people may be quoting 2x to 3x stretch if they are running from clone. When you are popping the genotype, you are opening up the possibility of different phenotypes. You have the genotype but your pheno may be showing broadleaf gene dominance over the narrow leaf stretch. Expect better bag appeal from the shorter pheno.

Thank you for commenting. I know it is a well liked strain but there's little actual info I could find.

If you took a really stretchy plant and collapsed it into a perfect 2 foot beauty that is what Ive got. It is so impressive to me I have not seen one grow like this. All bud with a ton of leaf supporting it.

Lol I planned the stretch around larry going 3x and ended up maxing my space because the other strain that supposedly never can stretch past 50% doubled.

Swerve has had a bad rep since like 2013, or at least here on rollitup. Hope you get something you.
He was called out on icmag from day one. No one fuckin likes him, his attitude, or his complete lack of moral compass.

I though Cali Connect seemed to get consistently great reviews but maybe i am reading threads from way back
Swerve supposedly crossed Larry OG to his SFV OGK BX line. Note that is his BX line and not the legit SFV OGK clone. There is a male involved. I wouldn't bother with it given lineage although no doubt will still throw some flame unless he is a complete moron or completely lying about genetics.

All anyone needed to do to get an idea of this guys character is just look at his internet name...real crafty and honorable sounding ego there...

It’s a seed, not larry. Larry stretches like a mf. Obviously your femme Bean from cc does not. The lat pack of fems I grew from cc were Tahoe og and they all smelled like straight jack. Swerve outsources his breeding so you honesty have no idea what cross you’ve got running.

Fems are supposed to all be like Tahoe. But swerve outsources and has other people make his seeds.

All that matters is that you enjoy what you have. Would love to see some pictures
Exactly, if what's in the pipe or in the rolling paper makes you happy and not wanting for anything else is what counts. The whole bashing of the seed companies however it may be warranted gets tiresome. Seems they all have dissatisfied customers and bashers. Not all but some of the issues has nothing to do with the breeders. Yeah I said it.
