Quick Mastadon question

TokeWisely here with a quick question, I posted it on GC but no one even viewed it there so hopefully someone here can help. I have a few plants, One is a mastadon, one is a kush and one is a white widow. The mastodon just hit 8 weeks a few days ago and the buds are swelling but not over the leaves. I believe I flushed it too early, I started about 3 weeks ago when I was away and my brother had to water my babies, he watered with plain water for 2 weeks and I didn't realize this. Should I add another week of nutes then flush or should I leave it and harvest when the trics are ready? I Also think it might be too much nitrogen but idk. Thanks for your help!

Strain: Mastodon
Watering schedule: water every 2/3 days when medium is dry to touch
FFOF w. Perlite
8th weeks of flowering

Hey Toke, I just finished Mastadon but I'm not a flusher. You should see those pistils recede a bit more and calyxes swell (like you mentioned). It did seem like it took a while to go amber but when it did, the next few days the change was pretty quick. I fed/watered just about every other day towards the end with no flush. I'd keep giving nutes. Girls are looking good though! Mastadon was a pretty forgiving grow for me.

Thanks for the response! I was getting a little nervous when it seemed like they stopped swelling. Back to nutes it is! Once again, you saved me a few weeks of stress lol. Oh and btw, your lady is gorgeous, very frosty!

Flush? Why? What for?
Flushing is a MYTH!

READ ON

Toilet training time again?

Lets see here. Ed Rosenthal's Marijuana Growers Handbook (official course book, Oaksterdam University).
Looking for "Flushing". Nope none listed!
Looking in the Index for "Flushing". Nope, none listed!

Worth Freeman, Biology of plants
"Flushing" Nope, nothing!

Joey Green, Gardening magic
"Flushing" Nope, nothing!

Leslie L. Iversen, The Science of Marijuana
"Flushing" Nope, nothing!

J.A. MacCaskill. Plant Nutrient Facts For Hydroponic And Container Growing
"Flushing" Nope, nothing!

One thousand And One Gardening Secrets
"Flushing" Again, nothing!

In total, 59 books and texts......Guess what? NO FLUSHING instructions, or even the mention of flushing. This includes 14 books on hydroponics. Several papers on tobacco growing in soil and hydro - NO mention of flushing!

Flushing is for toilets!

NOT plants!

"Flushing" supplements > Flush money from your wallet! PERIOD!!!!

FLUSHING IS A MYTH!

The only thing that needs a flush around here is this myth from the minds of misguided and moronic minions of so called "magazine growing guru's".

All of those who still believe flushing makes a difference, Please line up on the right so Chuck E can supply you with a good swirly! @chuck estevez you're up bro!

Your mastodon looks like it's been reveging it something. Is your flower room light tight
No light leaks that I've found yet, I thought the same thing, I put a few cameras recording in my grow room to catch any leaks during lights out and none at all, I even kept switching the angles of the cameras. My white widow and mastadon is in the same flower room, wouldn't the same thing happen to that one also if there were light leaks? it doesn't look anything like the pics I've seen.

Yeah the ww looks ok but the pistils on top look brown (could be a sing of pollination) i would really inspect the mastodon and make sure there is no male parts. I have never seen that in person just in pics.
