How do I know how much wattage lights I need ? I got a 4x4 tent and I plan on growing 4-6 Plants next grow. Lights now I think are still too weak. 2 600w lights is what I currently got

what is the power draw from the lights, they say 600watts but you go by the amount of electricity they use. have a look on the specs sheet or tell us the name of the lights and we can do a quick search to find out for you

well 2 x 250watt lights should do sa 4 x 4 tent. i have a 250 watt metal halide doinga 4 x 4 at the moment, but they are seedlings and young plants. im going up to 400 watts next and ive grown that many plantds with 400watts befor

how much have you got to spend, theres a great selection of led lights that would do a 4 x 4 tent

oh right. on the cheaper side you have metal halide/sodium lights, but they produce a lot of heat, do you have extraction fans set up in there?

I do, but I do have a humidity issue.. very very humid where I live even with good exhaust and dehumidifiers.. so RH is high almost 100% of the time not sure how hot lights would affect that

no, im not sure myself, i dont measure RH in my tent, i just leave the door half open for air to circulate, SO I CANT HELP YOU THERE, IM SURE SOMEONE WILL BE ALONG TO HELP YOU OUT SOON, THEN WE CAN both learn how it might affect RH

theres a 315 watt cmh light that would work i think cmh is compact metal halide, it gives more light then a 400watt metal halide and may work for you. wait and see what other answers you get from other growers. ill be watching to learn myself. good luck with it

it sounds like you need a better dehumidifyer from what ive just read up. the grower has high RH in the room hes got his tent in, and your trying to manage the RH in a tent in a room with high RH. the grower used a dehumidifyer in hois room and that braught his RH down to 45.
do you have the fans on during the dark hours too, this it important in reduceing the RH in your tent

1 600 watt HPS is all I would do in a 4x4. That's what I use. 4 inch inline fan with charcoal filter. 2 600 watts you would be fighting temperature and humidity alot and also the girls would drink more and eat more. Keep it simple is My advice.
