How wet are your paper towels? Do you soak them and squeeze em after? Why leave it unzipped? Do you expose them to light?
I Soak them, then I ring them till there just moist. Fold them inside the pt and put them in a ziplock bag somewhere warm. Make sure there is some air in the bag. I find most of them pop in 18rs, never waited more then 2 days. But maybe I have just had good luck and/or good seeds.

If they take longer, keep an eye on the moisture/humidity of the bag and pt. don't want it to completely dry out.

Don't have them sitting out in the light. Keep them in the dark.

yes, soak and squeeze, i leave it unzipped because the local drug lord at hydro said to..i used to zip..i do not expose to light, they are covered.

i just had 5 barneys farm vanilla kush (stored in mason jar refrigerator) only pop 2..1 split no tail; the other 2 keep saying "what the fuck are you looking at"..it seems like the heavier the indica % is where i have a hard time..sativas pop all day long..they are like "were here!!! where's the party?!!! oh! and i usually work with fems only.

"How do you know when it's wet enough?"

You want to use paper towels that have a rough texture. Those bumps in the paper help trap oxygen where it is needed. Paper towels are wet enough when they turn a darker color. After I spray the p.t. I pat them with a clean towel. You want the p.t. to surround the seeds but still have pockets of air available.

Good luck, BigSteve.
