i have one of those if need be, hence me asking this question by bumping this 3 week old thread, cause remember kids, storing synthetic urine is ALOT COOLER than storing real urine.... and less creepy!

99% of jobs in the us seem to test for drugs see4, so does that mean because i smoke weed i shouldn't be able to get a job at their precious work place??
the second part though i do agree with, if you get a job knowing that they do random tests and continue to a, either work there, or b, continue to work there and continue to use, well, that's on you..
i for one would never take a job where i knew that they did random testing.. no amount of money in the world would be enough for me to want to give up smoking, or not even smoking so much, but it pisses me off that things that i do on my time off, away from the job, can have an impact on my job..

i know, i know, it's a pretty big dream world i live in, lol, but drug testing in any form really pisses me off to say the least.. and marijuana, the least harmful of all the major drugs tested for, is the one that hangs out in your system the longest.. i could do coke on a friday and take a piss test on the following monday and more then likely pass, but heaven forbid if i smoked a joint 3 weeks ago and need to take a piss test..

Im not sure I agree with the fact that 99% of US companies test for drugs. I've worked at 7 different companies, only 1 required a test as a condition of employment. Many of friends have never been tested. Now, that may be a demographics issue, but I suspect it's not. I think it may be the type of jobs. I will have to research this a little more to have a stronger opinion either way on that. But yes, I still stand by what I say, I think if you know prior to employment or even during, that you will be tested, and you fail the test, you have nobody to blame but yourself. And that is the point that I think Kron and I agree on.

maybe you're on to something about it being geographical though as i know here on the east coast, if you don't want to be flipping burgers for the rest of your life, you can rest assured you're going to be facing an ua in the near future..

I don't know about the flipping burger statement though. all my positions have been with fortune 500 companies and start-ups, the one company that required a drug test, was Brown Brothers Harriman. Ive worked at Morgan Stanley, IBM, Thomson Reuters, EMC, and 2 start ups, and none of them required drug tests.

idk, i can only speak about the places around me, pretty much the philly area, all require one to take ua's for employment... i guess everyone knows people in mass are massholes, so maybe they think smoking some weed will chill them out a bit, lol.. :D

most companies i have applied for they ask for pre emp drug test, i have noticed its more depends on the type of biz, i have worked in alot of bartender/waiter jobs that DO NOT test for drugs, and i have workedfor warehouses such as procter and gamble and contractors and they DO test for drugs, this is a pre emp, i was a bad boy about a year or so ago, took to many benzos and had a small blackout DUI experience, i dont like to talk about it, but i have to take ''probation drug tests'' that are monitored,but done so by hospital staff, so subbing is easy if i do it right, i already gave them 1 urine test that was pretty much pure water cus i drank 2 gallons before hand, but they yelled at me and told me i diluted, so if i cant dilute, im going to substitute...thats just how i play, but in the mean time i have a mad probation officer breathing down my neck calling my cell phone twice a day, and i dont like that.

but the counter to that is; the job they are applying for chooses not hire people who use drugs, and they have the right to do that. also, I think it says that the OP had been working there for quite some time.. which I preclude that the OP knew that he/she would be tested.. and here lies the issue.
my last job did the pre-employment screen, and did not do "random" testing. what they DID do, however, is put the discretion on the managers to "enforce the drug policy". this means that if you tripped on your shoelace, slipped on ice outside, dropped something, tripped on a frayed rug, GOT STUNG BY A FUCKING BEE FROM A NEST THAT WE ALL COMPLAINED ABOUT FOR A MONTH, they could decide to test you. they don't spell this out anywhere, so the naive just think "no random testing woohoo" and get fucked. i know people who got fired for failing a test for every one of the reasons i mentioned, 2 of them were on the job for more than 10 years each.

another got fired because someone thought it would be funny to move his chair when he sat down so he busted his ass. manager saw him hit the floor. drug test. that guy was there for 4 years. every single one of these people failed for cannabis use and had otherwise stellar performance records over a period of years. they weren't tested because their performance suddenly slipped, they weren't tested as part of some "random testing" policy, they were tested and fired because of a money grubbing evil corporation adopting asinine drug policies to save a few bucks on their liability insurance. (the company also employed drivers and applied the same policy across all departments)

workplace cannabis testing is a tool of evil.

upon more research of this subject i beleive the OP's statment may be false or the OP did not follow the directions, only labs that test for uric acid can detect synthetic, and in order to be a federally certified lab such as medtox, labcorp, quest diagnostics etc they cannot test for uric acid as it is against something to do with SAMSHA, rogue labs that do not have to follow federal guidelines and standards however do and can test for it, in which case you can buy a quickfix with uric acid, im unsure how accurate all this information is but, i beleive it.

It's out the window cuz you tried to cheat the system. Don't blame your corner cutting on quick fix. Man up and go find another job.
It's horseshit that they test in the first place. A system so fucked up that companies can terminate you for smoking weed on your own time is a system worth cheating.

i never got tested at work. although they always said they would. and i even smoked on the job. all day long. driving their big ass spray trucks and smackin mirrors off parked cars while drivin around. ahh shit. i just knocked that mirror off. dam. i was always hitting shit. i hit a bmw once. took out the left corner panel. hahahahha....but yeah sorry you gotta get tested. better you than me though.

i used the quick fix at the end of march and they do dilution tests before they do the UA and it failed that right off the bat it didnt even make it to the damn drug test!
had to pee in the cup and failed. havent smoked up since about 3 weeks before that and im going to redo my pre employment testing this coming monday to get back on this job
