I took a sample bud off of my plant today, which is a week and a half from finishing up. And i was wondering how i should dry it? Right now i have it in a brown paper bag on top of my xbox...is this sufficient?

id never put it in a paper bag......idv thrown it in a jar and put it in the closet before a paper bag

Alright.... have plenty of jars so i can do that. Just thought that since it was so fresh off of the tree i would need to air dry it a little before i threw it in the jars. Thought you had to burp the jars every six hours as well. Going to sleep will make me pass that deadline up. Put in jar with lid off?

Air dry first, then jars.

just open them once a day...but yes u should dry too...but best way to do that is hanging....paper bags are just bad news....if u need it done fast u need a dehydrator(which is still worse than hanging and curing)....

Gotcha...yea, i think that im just going to let the two little nugs sit out for a while to harden up a little and see if I can smoke it then. Dont really care about the harshness of the smoke, as i only chopped off one little nug from the very bottom of the plant to test her out. This is my first grow and i couldnt wait too much longer to try it. Heard that this shouldnt be a problem but just didnt know the proper techniques for letting it dry out. Since i chopped it off of the lower branch there is no stem to hang it from...its just the nug itself. So im guessing if i just sit it out for awhile, not in the paper bag, it should be ok to smoke as soon as it dries... is this correct?

yes that should be ok....u dont need to cure it(jars)....most just say it adds a lil potency and taste to it
