After i fixed the def. should i clip the brown spotted leafs off or are they still useful? To be honest i thought it would just turn them back to normal.

no I wouldn't. It can still take energy from the parts of the leaf that are still green. If you want you could cut the dead parts off, but salvage as much as you can.
