Hello World!
Before anyone asks, yes I now know it was not a very smart move to let it progress this far, but I thought I'd learn something from it (and I did... My allergy to pollen is much worst than I had known, amongst other things).
But what's done is done, and it's time to chopper. As you'd expect, the buds are nice and big, somewhat frosted, and have bananas coming out of every nook & cranny (didn't expect this many, can take some nice hi-res pics if anyone is interested). I learned a lot from letting her go so I don't consider it a loss (even though the others are now going to be seedy, still don't think it's a loss, though I'll never do that again).
My questions are:
Is there any way to safely separate these many nanners from the buds?
I'm going to be turning it into BHO, will it affect it if I don't make a vigilant effort to separate the nanners before I do this?
How stupid am I?
I already plan on trying the water-cure method (not for the cure but as an effort to reduce the pollen count on the buds), would this cause the nanners to open in the water?
Any insight on harvesting something this atrocious is appreciated. The buds do have a nice amt of resin on them and they will certainly produce some effective BHO. (I have others that have nanners here and there but aren't full-on herms like this one)
She was a bagseed (they all are) that I decided to go 12/12 from seed with just to see what would happen (never doing this again until I know I have a strain that plays nice with it, though it could just have been that it was bagseed that caused it, I'd rather play it safe as this is the only cycle I'm going to do all the crazy things people say not to do... this is how I learn). I haven't had anything to puff on since my last crop ran out so I just really need this one to hold me off until the next one.
Thanks for stopping by!
P.s. Unrelated but thought I'd mention it: 12/12 from seed using Happy Frog soil from the get go, I never had to feed them once. Applied Myco about 2 months in, and superthrive on 2 of 'em as they were showing some stress (picked 'em right up in 2 days).
