Questions about warrants in searches & seizures

Does anyone know what probable cause a cop needs to search your home? They need probable cause to get a warrant but what would they need specifically? If they saw lights in a room going all night, would that give them probable cause? Thanks guys :peace:

Just about anything suspicious is probable cause. Loud parties, odors, light leaks, hauling bags of soil in the house in the middle of winter, items discarded in the trash, lots of traffic, etc. Probable cause is pretty easy to obtain so it's always in your best interest to be polite and friendly to the neighbors. Cut your dreadlocks and get a good square business type haircut (no more Grateful Dead or Phish T-shirts, sorry:cry:). Keep a low profile and use good common sense. That's pretty much it. Oh yeah, and don't tell anybody about your grow. All that someone would have to do is get pissed at you and run to the local police station and say that so and so is growing weed. Best of luck and stay safe. :peace:

I know loud parties is not grounds for probable cause. And I'm pretty sure the police cannot just search your trash and there was a supreme court case about that. Does anyone else have input?
