Questions about setting up venting and air conditioners

So I'm working in an 8' by 11' flower area, 4x2 closet tent for veg. Currently I have a 400w MH for the 4x2 tent, with 2 6" duct boosters (not full size inlines) one for pulling fresh air from the bottom of the tent and one to cool the 400w in a cooltube stretching about 8' to a window for fresh air and then directed into the ceiling out of the other side.

I have a 1000w in an adjustawing and a 1000w metal halide hanging vertically for some fucked up hermie looking foxtailing plants, They are about 6' at a 7' ceiling and we made the mistake of letting them keep going but just going to trash them for hash. I plan on jerry rig attaching a cool tube to the adjustawing so that it can be air cooled as well. My question is will a 12" 1000+ cfm fan be just enough to cool these three or is it overkill?

Mind you the lights will not be all in a row, rather two in a row right off the fan from a y connector and the other side running a bit to the right through the other 600w and out the window. This is going to be at least 12-13' worth of ducting to be ran and im worried that im going to need multiple expensive fans just to cool the lights.

Also, is it better to pull air over the lights or blow the air towards them?

Appreciate the advice in advance im trying to get on the way to making unstressed plants because the hermies can piss a guy off ya know :? Im open to any and all suggestions

if I was you, I would get some sealed aircooled hoods for your 1000watters... you can get some nice ones for bout 100.00 each... They are great!! not only can you keep your room cooler, but you will also beable to keep your lights closer to your plants... And I think that your 1000cfm fan will be good for your lights and your room. and it is better imo to pull air through your lights rather than blow through them.... I would also keep the a/c u have just for insurance for days that are really hot.... I hope this helps you out...

Thanks for answering bro. I only have 1 1000w that im going to keep, and i can get it about 12" without the spreader so Im sure I can get it to 6" with and with the AC near it I should be fine. The two 600's will be in a straight line im thinking now do you think a 6" inline with like 400cfm will do the trick? or should I go with the 8" and get 8" hoods? will it allow me to get them that much closer?

I have 2- 600s also with 6inhoods and a 500cfmfan... They usually are great, but today was a really hot day (almost 100) and it got to 84 degrees in my room. don't have my a/c hooked up yet) it usually stays 70-75degrees like clock work, unless it gets real hot..( so if I was to do it over and was gonna spend the money then I def. would pay the extra couple bucks and get the 8in hoods and a bigger fan prob at least 600cfm (just to be sure it will be good) Didn't u say u had a 1000cfm 12in fan?? if you got that then I would just buy some Ducting reducers (12in to 8in or 6in witch ever u decide) from home depot and use the fan u have (1000cfm) also my room is 6x6x6 and yours is bigger... and I def think you will beable to get them closer to your canopy with seald hoods and a good fan!!
