Questions about my lights

I am using two 49inch T8 35watt philips fluorescent tubes. Im looking for comments/suggestions on THESE lights, obviously i could get higher quality lights.

No, these are great the more tubes the better, 6-8 tubes on a rack are better than a 400w Mh, hang on chains adjust daily, keep them within 2 inches of the tips, for maximum lumen exposure, keep a fan in there, and a balance of 2700k and 6500k

I have a shoplight setup so can only hold 2 for now, I have a 2ft fluorescent 75watt output 60Hz 300mA light not on the plants,Im assuming adding this light would be beneficial. Is that a true assumption?

also i have the lights 20 in from the plants,i came to the conclusion of hanging them at that height after some research. Was i given bad info,also should the lights stay at 2in above the plants during both veg/bud stage?
