Can u start the flowering stage on ur plant whenevr u want no matter what the size or how long its been alive and will it grow bud like normal flowering it smaller or?

they have to preflower first
then you can flip to 12/12

you could run 12/12 from seed ..... still has to preflower before flower will start

Yes.
But the time from flip till you see buds formation will be week or two longer if plants aren't mature when flipped (showing sex).

And thank you I just have a month old plant started 12/12 2 days ago and still hasnt shown any sighn of sex havent used any nutrients for it tho under 4 cfls

you can switch to 12/12 when ever you want.... depending on maturity the plant will flower
check you the 12/12 from seed thread

now that I typed this i noticed tek said damn near the same thing lol

Alright thanks this is my first time growin indoors still trying to figure it all out

Longer veg = more yield. You can flip when you want. With indoor, And especiallyCFL, i would do a lot of topping and training. You want lots of tops as the light does not penetrate well. So Once i had the plants set to where I want them in that, I flip.

If you are running 4 normal 24w CFL, you may want more. You want as much of the plants surrounded by very close CFLs as possible in flower.

info is correct the plant will still veg until it reaches maturity even on 12/12

going by what you are saying then as soon as the plant outgrows its coyt's then it flowers ?

alright thanks I have 2 60 wat and 2 24 wat cfls the lights are only a couple inches from the plant its almost 8in tall topped it once is it gonna grow good bud without having any nutrients or?

there's some 115w cfls in the photography section of ebay $10 i think?

Thanks im growing in like a foot 1/2 wide and long closet would I need more lights or am I good for now?

Yes it needs to be mature to flower. No it does not need to have preflowers. In any case, yes you can go 12/12 from seed. The more light the better, just keep ahead of the heat.

yes that is why the second part of the comment says ...... you can run 12/12 from seed but the plant will still have to preflower before it will flower
it still has to go through its cycle
regardless if 12/12 from seed or put through a actual veg it still has to mature before flowers will set

If you put a photo plant under 12/12 it will flower no matter the age/size.
