[Question] Will I need anything else if I get this system?

I've never grown marijuana in my life, but I've been interested for quite awhile. From what I've read, the set up I've linked to is pretty good. (If a bit pricey)

Will I need to buy anything else in order to use this system? Or does it include everything I'll need? (Minus the seeds of course)

If I do need something additional, what is it? Where can I get it, and how much will it cost?


Now, I'm not trying to be the worlds greatest marijuana farmer, so please don't recommend top grade lighting equipment and such. I've heard the lights included in the package suffice to grow some alright stuff, which is all I'm looking to accomplish.

If you can offer any additional advice or tips as well for this system, that would be fantastic.

Its not a bad set up to learn off of, but buy looking at the pictures dont you think you could build it for alot less?

That's just the thing, I'm a horrible handyman, and most things I try to create, end up pretty... messed up to say the least.

I would be willing to fork over the additional cash to have it already done for me, as long as it's functional of course. So with this, nothing else will be required? I can just buy it, set it up, and go?

If you are not the handy type, and to you its worth the investment, then yes buy it and learn. If you do this for more than one grow, i would put money down now you will be improving on the lighting set up for flowering. But hey man start out small and work your way up, its the best way. Ive seen post after post of a newbie starting a grow op with more money than sense. And in the end they fale because it is too much for them. It is alot of work to keep a garden, be prepared to be home everynight of at least every other night(to water), no visitors durring flowering(trust me its going to stink), and a shit ton of other problems like bugs, people wanting shit for free........Just remember the #1 rule........TELL NO ONE!!! Not even your friends!

Where would you recommend I get the seeds? In all honesty, the seeds from what I've been smoking don't look that great at all.

You have to think about it like this......the weed you are are smoking most likely wasent grown with care. It wasent cured properly. So the seed you get from your bag of regs, grown hydroponicly will be 50x better. If you do everything like you are supose to. Its not that hydro is steroids its just giving the plant EVERYTHING it needs when it needs it.

You can look on this site they have sponsered seed banks that a reliable. worldwidemarijunaseeds is good and so is the attitude

i dont really like the idea of having 6 flowering plants in a dwc that tight together...

and also for a first grow soil will be so much easier for you

with dwc you have to be on top of your PH levels and temp of the water needs to be right on theres alot more to go wrong

I wasn't planning on using all six for my first grow, I was thinking of using three to start with, kind of like this:

Where "x" is equal to where I put the seeds and "o" being a space left open.
Also, I heard with this set up, growing isn't too difficult.

yeah that would be alot better, mmm growings easy aslong as you follow the basic rules are you going to get a PH meter?

You have to start somewhere but think about this,,,,,
Main reason I grow The Plant is to be self reliant.
Do things for myself. Not rely on others and have to buy
the herb at the club rates for the garbo they push.

Read up on gardening by George Cervantes and Jorge Van Patten, good info there.

Choose a system you are comfortable with, can afford and start learning. Focus
on the grow in the system you choose and watch the girls every day. keep a notebook.

just get started and overgrow them rascals in d.c.

What's going on cloud, welcome to the community. It was about 6 months ago i found myself in the same situation as you. What you have will be a fine starter kit. I bought something along those lines and the fever took over. My first stealth cab has now become my clone box, i gutted an old dresser and made a stealth veg box, and then went and bought 4x4x6.6 grow tent along with a 400 watt hps to be my flower room. Do a lot of research man. Bloomers pages especially have a lot of great info. Feel free to hit me up with any questions you have. I still consider myself a noob, but i do have a grow under my belt. I think i must have made almost every mistake possible too, but everyone on the site helped me out and we got it done. Good luck man and have fun.

Whats up. I have almost the same set-up...it was my 1st. The pots are kinda small and close together, so your spacing is a good idea. It is really pretty easy to make the same set-up yourself..for alot cheaper. Once I got mine, I ended up making 2 more but I made them big to hold 6- 8" pots instead. I liked dealing with that company...i had to call and ask a couple questions when I got my system and they had a very good customer service...always a good thing....and a few of my pots were missing...they sent new ones, no problem, and I got them in 24 hrs. Plus that set-up comes with everything you'll need...makes it alot easyier to get started that way. Message me if you need any help...I still grow in those DWC set-ups , I'll help if I can. Make sure you get the meter!! Testing with kits and papers suck.

Just like cuervoman said. Read LOTS! Especially the ones where they fail along the way (like me) but then turn around. Sort threads by number of views and then my number of replies to get the ones with the juicy info! Read anything by Al B. Fuct you can find! Then go into other threads and ask lots of questions!

And for $100, you can have a set up like mine with TWO COOLERS and no temp worries !!

ive used this system before worked great for veg .. but prefer aeroponics better ... and i am starting to hate DWC .. build a aero rail system and u will be impressed 50 or so dollars

I don't really WANT to spend that much on a decent system, but it seems like exactly what I want with minimal/easy set up.

If I had a local friend to help me make one, that would be fantastic, but sadly, that's not the case.

that bubble box is easy to build few netpots 1 airstone and a pump with some tee on it ... i think the water pump the most expensive thing on the system .. i built a few bubble boxes all ready.. aero still faster growth in my opp
but for bubble box u need
1 Rubbermaid or any type on storage tub
cut out holes for netpots(i made them six packs)
1 aquarium bubble stone
1 water pump i used 100gph
then tee the water lines off ( putting 1 line in each of the netpots) i use a 15on 15off timer but u can run it constant
i started my seeds in rockwool ( i prefer sure to grow cubes now ..cleaner and less ph problems)
then add a light whatever one u are using . for nuets i just used my well water they grew fine in veg ( stealth hydro nuets suck) i use advanced nutrients lil expencive ( 100 bucks for 4qts 2 grow and 2 bloom) but work well in my opp...
and watch them grow
