lol TIME OUT!!When I was in 8th grade I got paddled for few things, one for not doing my homework! I had a 3.5 through college. Never did I feel beaten or violated. My brother said in the Army now, the kids in boot have time out cards if they feel they are being pushed too hard.
We are getting soft; physically and mentally, while the rich bullies continue to take kids' milk money.
did nothing but cause me a little pain back then but it was better than detentions...... does it still do something for you? cn

Yeah lime remember, "it is what it is" lol.. It's our fault for posting in threads that get deleted.Did I not answer the question already?
Yes, unfortunately there is no way to alert every member that has posted in a thread that the thread is now deleted.Yeah lime remember, "it is what it is" lol.. It's our fault for posting in threads that get deleted.
Pshh...
Yeah there is.. Post in that thread that it will be deleted if the arguing goes on.Yes, unfortunately there is no way to alert every member that has posted in a thread that the thread is now deleted.
That should be happening when the thread is closed. There is a message left with a reason as to why it was closed. All mods should be putting a reason. As well the mod should be saying something to the person or persons in private creating the need to close the thread. If you are not the one, then no message will be sent to you and the thread is still closed. Like I said once it is closed, there is no way to alert all that have posted in that thread to tell them it is closed.Yeah there is.. Post in that thread that it will be deleted if the arguing goes on.
By then it is too late. Worthless to tell people what they did and what they shouldn't have done. Captain of hindsight. That should be happening when the thread is closed. It's a solace though. Specifying the boundary, and what constituted the breach that resulted in the close ... in a final, public post by the closing mod, would add value imo. cnBy then it is too late. Worthless to tell people what they did and what they shouldn't have done. Captain of hindsight.
Is it too hard to give out a warning before they close the thread?
So mods are supposed to let people know why a thread was deleted? How come my peace and love thread was deleted without being explained why first?
All mods are all to be doing the same thing, however we all have different perceptions of what needs to be closed or not. It is up to the mod themselves. Personally I pm the OP to let them know, others just post the message when they close it. Either way the person is notified in some form.By then it is too late. So why can't they do both? It's a solace though. Specifying the boundary, and what constituted the breach that resulted in the close ... in a final, public post by the closing mod, would add value imo. cn
