Senario:
6’ x 3’ SCROG table
either 2- 600w or 3- 400w CMH lights.... 1200w total either way

What is your opinion regarding how the number of plants andbuckets will affect your final yield?

8 - 8gal buckets with 1 plant each. – 8 plants total
4 – 8 gal buckets with 1 plant each. – 4 plants total
2 – 18gal buckets with 4 plants each – 8 plants total
2 – 18gal buckets with 2 plants each – 4 plants total

I am trying to decide between a water farm 8pak, Under Current4pak Or just build my own Hybrid undercurrent system with drip rings, one reservoirand two large growing buckets holding 2-4 plants each.

With 1200w of light and an 18sf Scrog screen, how will theNUMBER of plants affect the final yield?

What will the difference in veg. time be, filling a 3 x 6screen using 4 plants vs using 8 plants?

Thank you so much for your advice and opinions!

I'd go 4x8gallon - 4 plants - 2 600s - and you will easily be able to fill that screen.
Each plant will have it's own separate container, with that being the best option. More
roots, more buds. I'd say a month veg time. You can check out my grow log if you want,
in my signature. I did a DIY UC setup with 6 plants, and I could easily fill a 6x3 scrog.

LC, Thank you for the info….. and after spending the last hour reading most all of your posts, you have some great info to share!

Loved your grow room video…. I am totally lost when it comes to all your electronics…. That has got me worrying now! AARRUUGH! Is all that necessary? I was just thinking timers would do it…..

Most of the electronics are to attempt to make the room fully automated. I will need a more complex controller for that.
It is certainly not necessary, and most things can be run on dual outlet digital programmable timers, from light cycle, to
irrigation timing.

I'm just a big DIY/tinkering nerd, so when I build a setup I strive to have it as perfect as possible. That way I can push
the limits of my genetics, and do more of my own research on the plants themselves, since all the timing is taken care of.
Even a top off res is included with a float valve so I can top off and pH my system easily.
