Question regarding new seedling growth

Hey all,

Today is day 5 of my new seedlings. I noticed both are developing brown lines down the new growth. I was wondering if this is normal? Or should I be concerned.

I am using a hlg 240 at 2 feet. 1/4 strength hydroponics solution.

Thanks .

i would turn the power down on your qb and get it closer. i would feed at 100ppm till they started to take off, then up the ppm...hydro and dirt aint the same aminal

I've been learning about LED ever since my bud down the road switched to an LED. He started having issues that he never had before. Most of them solved by simply raising the light. He's also using more cal mag.
Thanks for the tips. This is my first grow with the HLG. I will rise the height and report back later.
Hopefully it did not stunt the growth too much

Nick's recovered nicely once he figured it out. The calcium deficiency took him a little longer to figure out. He solved it by adding cal mag with each feeding. In reduced amounts. 2 ml per gallon of water.

honestly, observation...turn them down slightly lower than you think they should be and work from there. slowly turn them up till you start to see any stress, then back them off just a little....not very scientific, but it works if you're paying attention

Two HLG 320's cost me a little over a grand. I think the 550 is cheaper, but you get better spread with multiple boards obviously
