Question regarding cfl placement

Whats up guys? Im just curious if you could put cfls too close to the plant, not too close as to where ull burn the leaves but too close as to where the plant wont grow verticle? I have my skunk auto at 3 1/2 weeks and its literally a small messy bush of leaves, i was thinking of raising the lights a little to promote some upward growth but i know u want nice tight nodes. I suppose my question is if i should leave the lights where they are or if i should raise them some? Theyre about an inch away as of now, i will post pics if it helps.

wow what a funny lookin plant! U got the opposite of stretch. Yeah i would go with raising the lights a bit, them nodes are a little bit too dense.

Then again, it should open up nicely once u flip the lights...

CFL's do put off heat and can burn your plants. That being said, a few inches is more that enough space.

It appears to me you have indica dominant plants there and those will tend to be shorter with bunched nodes. No worries, they will develop just fine.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Cheers

I raised them just a tad and the plant looks a little funny cuz i had her lstd and pulled the lower branches above the fanleaves so they arent shaded
