Question on Seed Germination

Hi-
A couple of years ago or so I bought some Northern Light Seeds from the Hemcy Seed Bank. I was just going through my seed collection for this year's grow & I noticed the pack said "best if used by 7/2007". You guys think it will be ok to grow these out or do seeds actually go bad after a few years? I have a nice little collection that I hope are not now worthless. :-( Thanks for any replies.
BTW, has anyone grown NL from Hemcy?

Try and germinate them. Some probably won't germinate, but some should. I think that is the reason behind a seeds expiration date.

Seeds have a definite time limit, especially improperly stored seeds. I suspect some of them will still germ, but your chances decrease the longer you wait.

Yeah, I'll just take a chance & germinate them my usual soaking in water and paper towel method. I keep my seeds in an airtight container. Thanks for the replies.
