Question on PPFD/DLI for my girls.

Good day folks, currently growing 2x King's kush auto's (coco/soil mix), they are currently on day 12 after breaking the soil (no nutes) been spraying with 6.5 ph water @ roughly 250ppm. What would you say the ideal PPFD and DLI that I would be aiming for?, running 20/4 light schedule, readings up to date are 250 PPFD & 18 DLI. Obviously wanting to do my best in there short veg period and wondering if I should up it now?

That's good for now. They are still small and don't need that much light yet. As they get larger, you can gradually increase the lighting intensity every couple of days until they reach the recommended DLI of 40 moles/day.

Are you using a LUX meter?

Looking good so far. I think I have those same sticky traps too!

Thanks, just using photone, tbh all the apps are near as dammit the same readings. 8000 lux as we speak.

The Galaxy PPFD Meter app shows LUX values of ~32,000 for my larger plants in an 18/6 VEG. As your little ones follow suit, you can gradually increase the intensity to the same value.

Just wondering - did you need to calibrate the Photone app?

You can calibrate it but I haven't bothered, I only use it a a rough guide.

It's because they all just use the same data from a phones light sensor. For some reason photone reads about 25% lower than all other apps. Don't know why, don't care and don't use it, complete crap on my androids.

I'm using this until I buy a PAR meter. Less than $30.

Update, officially in the veg stage, one week since my last pics and they've started taking off, developing some node sites now
