Question on Inline Fan and odorsok

I am setting up my grow tent and getting ready to put the odorsok with the inline fan in it. Do I put the odor sock on the outlet that is sucking or put in on the outlet that is blowing out. On the picture it shows the odorsok on the end of the that is blowing. That does not make sense to me. I want the odorsok on the end that is sucking so the air will be sucked into the odor sok and through the inline fan and then out to my attic. How do you people up your inline fans to your odorsoks, or maybe I am thinking of it wrong in my head. Thanks

I use a carbon filter on the blowing side if you like. it makes no odds, i dont think. Either way the odour gonna stay in the carbon and any exhaust air should be clean. Think about it :peace:

Should the air not be sucked through the carbon filter on the sucking side and then exhausted out from the blowing side?

think about it either way it is going THROUGH the filter, and thats what it needs to do, it doesnt matter

IT does matter otherwise you will be blowing smelly air out of your grow room, you go filter - cooltube/light - sucking fan

yes, smelly air out and filtered in the sok before exhausting. I dont think it makes all that much difference really. The most ive seen they have been as you say, but my room is such that any more shit in there is just a pain in t ass.

doesn't matter, does, doesn't matter, does, lol FFS

As far as i can see, its basic physics. The air regardless of which direction it travels through the sok, will be cleaned upon passing through the carbon in either direction.

OK. I am going to make put it on the sucking side so it will be sucked through the filter and then exhaust into my attic. Thanks for your help!

if you do it that way, so the clean air will be sucked through the carbon filter, then exhausted into the attic - the carbon filter won't seve any purpouse except for restricting airflow.

should look something like this.

which diagram then and why? im set up like the bottom diagram for couple weeks now and there's no smell as there was. Sooo I cant have the odorsok fitted to the exhaust of my air con? This is not good, hell i dont see the difference. Bloody things should come with better instructions, any instructions, lol

either diagram will work, and you can have it fitted to the exhaust of your aircon, as long as the intake of the aircon is inside the grow room.

I agree, there should be better instructions for us beginners. My setup is like the first diagram, I am going to use the carbon filter and exhaust to the attic because I have a cop living beside me. I know that I do not have to use a carbon filter if I vent to my attic, but I want to be safe.

if your carbon filter is the right size for your grow space, and it has an adequate fan, i can guarantee if you do choose to vent to the attic, which i guess would be pretty wise in your situation, there will be zero odor.

just to put you at ease.
