I have 16 bag seeds started in rapid rooters. My main grow setup is 4 5 gallon dwc 10 inch net pots using hydroton. So out of the 16 I will pick the best 4 females ( if I get 4 females that is). So what would be the best way to veg the 16 until I can sex them and then transplant into hydroton dwc system. Like after they sprout in rapid rooters I need to put into something that I can veg 3 weeks or so and 12/12 until sex shows that can be transplanted into hydroton. I do not want to use dirt( ffof,promix, etc) due to fungus gnats that I always get from that. Was thinking using solo cups or 2 liter soda bottles with hydroton in them and doing a manual flood and drain. I don't know if you can transplant hydroton like that without it falling to pieces once you flip it out of the cup/bottle. I do have sure to grow loose fill also but I think it would hold excessive water. Any ideals would be greatly appreciated.
