i bet if i called any woman i know thick they would slap me. to any woman thick=fat and most women think being fat is bad, although it can be good depending on the person. stuff like that is a matter of opinion. i for one dont like women to be too skinny, but i know dudes who like women who are so skinny it is unhealthy

It's called UFC.
If you think about living standards the US has always been some of the best.
However during the actual crisis some other regions have started to pick up the pace economically, socially and culturally.
The india/china duet has really come up to a great level of development but they still have major issues of poverty and poor government management.
The region in which i live (Southern Cone) has really advanced in the last years. Brasil is leading the advancement followed by Chile, Argentina, Venezuela. Lots of foreign investment is coming down here because the US and Europe economies are too frail to trust.
However as i pointed out the US is a nice place to live. Even with the downturn half the world would love to live in the US. The only three considerable drawbacks imo are foreign policy, food/health administration and drug policies.
If you ask for any source i lived two and a half years in the US and studied in a US' school here in my country until 12th grade. I have many friends up there and truly i love the differences between cultures. i like studying about other countries and how the differ and why.

#1: Canada is doing great. Economically we have separated most of our trade ties with the USA, and opened up mass trade with china and the middle east... there are More jobs in BC than there has been in a LONG time. our political system isn't going to bad either, since cutting trade ties with the USA Marijuana laws have slacked a little more as well as import / export trade laws.... cubans are cheaper than ever....
#2: No, we are not all in "the same boat". The European Union, and the United Stated of America are the only ones in THIS kind of trouble. you have spent TOO MUCH for TOO LONG. there is one simple fact: You have used all of your resources. there are almost no Mill-able, Mine-able or Harvest-able resources in the USA or the EU any more, and you wonder why you are so far up that river?

Yea we got problems, but then again so does every other country in the world. People are pretty much the same all over the world. We just don't hear as much about it because it's not where we live. Humans are just fucked, period.
