Question For Sub? (Process of Reconditioning Soil)

I was hoping you could describe the process by which you recondition your soil for reuse. I have seen you mention that you do it in other threads and would like to know how you go about it. Thank you!

I toss it into the yard. The cost of making it is to inexpensive to take chances with a crop that is worth so much.

What about a situation where fresh peat was not widely available - is it possible to reuse soil several times with long soaks in clear water?

I'm adapting my system for vegetables for high yield, 12 month, food production in developing countries - it's possible that we're not going to have a large enough peat source to replace the growing medium every grow.

If you or other members of TGA could look at my grow system and offer advice I'd appreciate the help. The Academy and Weed Science links below will open a window for my web site.

Thanks for any advice or direction that you can give.

Thanks GR.

I've been using clear cups for a couple of years with no problems but I'll keep an eye on the soil for algae.

These cup sets have perforated interior cups and a cover cup, the soil gets a chance to dry between waterings. Root pruning.
