I enjoy reading rollitup.org forum threads more than any other place. Facebook, twitter, dating sites bore the daylights out of me.

Does anyone else find people and social media to be extremely boring. At first I always thought it was me. I thought I was the boring person but I've found that in RL I hold very long conversations full of laughter and interesting subject matter. But when I talk to people online, especially dating sites where I'm trying to hookup, I find them as dry as sand paper. I find tons of hot guys online to talk to and the moment I move things to text or skype chat I find myself reaching for the "end" button very quickly.

I deleted my account on another forum just a few moments ago because I got tired of seeing threads about the same things - beyonce, rihanna, chris brown, sex, and trolling/bashing threads, b-list celebrities. Not 1, NOT ONE thread strayed from those subject matters.

I can't stand it anymore. Everything is life has been reduced to superficiality.

At work I find it hard to talk to regular people because of lack of common interests. People sometimes tell me I'm anti social because I don't talk about football / other dumb shit on TV that I don't watch.

I feel like the outcast at my job too. Hell even with my family when I see them. We talk about to normal "oh how are you blah blah" then it's just crickets. I don't get it, bc when I'm around my friends we talk about everything from sports to growing, cars to cooking

Like I was telling coworkers how taxes are going up next year and people have no idea what I'm talking about. I'm like that tax return you get every year, that shit is going to be a lot less next year. They don't get it.

LOL I tried talking about that exact same thing and they had no idea. I too am often called anti-social but when I try and talk about something interesting people either have no interest in what I'm talking about and/or start talking about something shallow. Even my own mother bogs me down with the latest family gossip all the time.

We are getting dumber as a society. Aside from being obsessed with lame shit like Honey Boo Boo etc, you. Can see it in public and on the Internet. People on Facebook blindly repost shit someone else said to repost without checking if its real or bullshit, like that bogus privacy pseudo-legal disclaimer on FB that in reality can be debunked if one took the five seconds to google it.

Everything in this thread. Truth. Abd maybe people wouldnt almost hit a deer if they would get their fucking faces out of their phones and pay attention to the shit going on around them. I hear people say their life is over when their phone breaks, and people who live looking at the screen and as soon as they look down they become 100% oblivious to everything outside of it, cant hear or anything. Pathetic.
