Question for all you soil heads!!!

I need a new soil and nutrient combo thats good for some OG and super lemon haze girls. Last year i was just using the Happy Frog soil and the perlite (3to1 soil ratio) using 5 gallon buckets and the nutrients I was using were the technaflora BC starter kit nutes. The main problem i had was that the soil would retain too much water so i couldnt feed and water as much as i wanted. So, this time around I want to make changes to the soil and nutes. Can any of you guys help a brotha out with a good recipe that is not the super soil lol
