Question about your street dealer...

Hey guys,

I deal weed part time for a living and I work full time, just because I love my job...

I started doing something lately, just so that my customers KNOW what they're smoking. I bought a label printer and every time I sell a bag, I print a label that says:

"Strain: NAME OF THE STRAIN
Origin: SATIVA AND %
Quantity: 1g to 28g"

And I glue it to the bag...

Some of my customers really like it, and I'm getting way more orders lately. Is it possible that people like the professionalism of the service I'm providing?

I mean, I'm always fast on delivery, I oversell up to .5g and never under what they paid for, I'm a clean and nice guy that doesn't show off or anything, I talk to my customers like they're my friends, my baggies are transparant black (sales got up when I switched from transparant to transparant black, for a reason I have no idea about lol), and now they've got all the infos my customers need about what they're smoking...

The thing I'm worried about is what if they toss my baggies on the ground after smoking my weed..? Will police officers start to invest into finding who's selling that stuff into such high quality bags or it's just a bag, with a sticker on it, and that they won't care much, lol.

My lawyer gave me the green light for these stickers, he actually thinks it's a great idea and that people will threat me more professionnally.

Anyways, what you think? :)

idk who your lawyer is, but advising you to label bags like that is not maybe the smartest advice:wall:

nah but.. thats cool, thats how the store does it in Washington. seems like a lot of work to go to for a dime bag.

if you really really wanna make the other guys look bad, you could throw in a pack a papers with a dub 8)

I'd appreciate knowing what strains I buy! I usually ask dealers what kind of bud I'm getting and it is RARE for them to have ANY response, let alone a coherent one that isn't "Um, uh some kinda Ak-47/kush/etc., I think". Hence the move to know and grow my own weed. Have you got customers keeping track of their purchases and asking for strains they have enjoyed, this would be the purpose of the label, right? I would assume that if you have no contact info on your labels it would take a snitching customer for the police to pinpoint you. I would hope that as your services become more elite so to would your customers, thus reducing the risk of idiotic BS.

Ya that's a cool idea. I decided to grow my own because weed dealers are unreliable in my region. Just being reliable would gain you a lot of business where I am from. Anything above and beyond that would be outstanding. I like the idea of papers which is a nice cheap way to keep everyone happy. Maybe a blunt wrap to keep em smoking lots. Festive bags are also enjoyable. Halloween, xmas etc. The world needs more dealers like you, I can assure you that.

Thanks to everyone replying serious answers...

Anyways I changed the idea and instead of delivering with printed strains and etc, I deliver in StinkSacks. People never seen those before, and seem to really like them since it doesn't smell at all.

It costs me more for 1 bag but I feel it's worth it, my customers are very happy!

I also added a few products to my services (ordered in wholesale, smokeshop pricing):
- aluminium grinder with thc catch can = 10$
- strawberry rolling paper pack = 3$
- high quality butane lighter = 5$
- 0.5 to 0.6g weed muffins = 5$

So far, I get a lot of refferals, but I stay cautious with who refers who and where they know them from, etc...

It's going good :)!

What state you're doing this in will make a BIG difference. In Colorado, just being reliable is not enough.

I'm frankly surprised that considering the price of the product more dealers don't step up their packaging game. Thanks for the ideas!

My two cents from a lifetime in the weed game. I've found good product with no hassle keeps em coming back. Tagged bags. Or even the design bags the smoke shops carry are a bad idea IMO.

You know what people really like. Cool looking locking briefcase. No bags. Just say my shit don't touch plastic and weigh it out upon delivery. That's what I been doing for a minute now and what's cool is im all legal to carry up to 10.5 oz in my state :)

In my state if you're found with a scale, more than 1 bag and/or 30.5g+, you are automatically accused of SELLING instead of CARRYING.

Which is why I weight the buds at home, then put into a no-smell baggie, I carry only 1 bag on myself and I never sell over an ounce. It's all about being SAFE...

Even if you sell to people you don't know, you're better following strict rules so that if you get caught, you get away with no serious charges.

it so people dont overweigh by 2-3 g if it was 30 and get in trouble by accident......people who know this law arnt going to carry 30.5...
thell carry 30 to be on the safe side ....its like a safe number for inocent carriers.

hope that makes sense..its the way the law works sometimes.

the law is clever like that........iv just been for a medical test for disabilty money and the test is cleverly made by a scoring point 0-10 0 being failed.......people who know this test try to scam it by getting 10 points ....its easy but the innocent ones like me dont try to scam it and get 0 points like i did and failed ........the test is ridged to reveal the scammers who get full points.

people thinnk the laws there to punish people .....its also there to protect the innocent......like the 30.5

hope you understood that as well

Ive noticed that other patients, like myself, like to be informed. Its nice to know what yer buying ....just like its nice to know what yer growing.

then of course u still get those who dont give a shit at all, as long as its cheap & looks smokeable.

My customers want to know the strain and that's fine with me; I label the bag. I don't feel the need to add more info than that.

Whoever said quality is the best marketing tool was on da money! Grow good weed and they'll come back for it. Even in Colorado- hell, especially in Colorado!

I can carry over a pound legally- and yet I never, ever do. I believe in taking only necessary risks and even then finding ways to reduce it. Turns out that's good business practice in general...
