Question about trichomes

How much time goes by from clear to cloudy trichomes? And then from cloudy to amber.? And should you wait until you see the first amber ones before harvest. One of my plants has mostly cloudy trichomes with no amber I can see. Should she get cut now or should I wait to see amber. This is my first harvest, could use some input again... Thanks RIU community.

I usually wait till it's about 5-10% amber.
I've had plants that go that amber in a day or so from cloudy and some that take a week or so. Not sure if that's more because of strain or environment.
I'll be interested in what others say.

Once all the trichomes are cloudy it usually is not that long for some to start turning amber. i have had plants turn within a couple days and some took over a week. if you want to harvest as early as you can but still have good medicine then go for 75% cloudy and 25% amber. the more amber you have the more narcotic it will be. i have even gone all the way and let most turn amber. shit puts you to fucing sleep.
