As some of you might know..

I grow indoors only and this year will be my first outdoor.

I'm wondering if you guys had any suggestions about submersible pumps that I could use outside in a 50gal barrel as my reservoir. Also.. any suggestions about watering wands.
Thanks

Submersible pumps add heat. The bigger the pump the more heat it generates. By design the res solution cools this pump. You will need a chiller or some method of cooling your res. Therefore I suggest you buy only as large a pump as is needed to do the job. This is one time I advise not going big. Go big to grow big with lights and air handling equipment. Just big enough for submersible pumps.

Thanks for the heads up. +rep
I'll keep that in mind. Does a standard 100ft. Garden hose fit right onto the pump(screw on)?... Then sits at the bottom of the res in turn pumping the water from the bottom until it's finished with my 50gal barrel?

I saw ones at HD that'll do something insane like 1,500 Gal/hr. No thanks. Haha
