Question about starting an eel farm

Are there any eel farmers out there? I'm looking for a list of supplies I'll need to farm fine show eels and eels for culinary purposes. I currently have a 300,000 gallon (approximate) saltwater pool at my residence waiting to be utilized. I talked to my housemates and they're cool with my plans as long they get a cut of the profits, and some eels every now and then. Basically, does anyone have experience farming morays, ribbons, American eels or other saltwater varieties of eel? Is it easier to farm freshwater eels? Any good books on eel farming? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

This might be a good place to start looking { American Eel, } not sure what kind info a marijuana grow site can help you with but you never know. There are many smart and varied persons here, so I may be wrong in my assumption

Let's get the ball rolling with some eel pics!

Beautiful green moray, these fetch a high price lately.

The majestic pelican eel--said to have been used by the ancient Mayans as a pain reliever and aphrodisiac!

I don't know that Moray would be good to throw in the mix, they can be very aggressive, not to mention hungry.

I wouldn't be taking any eel farming advice from any of these guys...
Yes I realize. They are clearly rank amateurs in the field of anguilliformology. Such a shame to see good minds go to waste, smoking that contemptuous herb without once wondering how the majestic eel came to be, or it's predatory habits.

The eel is very misunderstood. It looks the way it does because it was generous to a fault. All the other fish kept asking the loan of a fin. Now look at it, poor dear. cn

It was not my intention to post a thread for smut peddlers to spread their filth. DO NOT post any more phallic eels or you will be given a demerit.

they also shoved sting ray needles in their penises then would let the blood flow onto paper and burn the paper so....not sure if selling it based on Mayans would be a 100% sell-able idea...

but then have you seen the piercing some folks get... it just might be..

What is the benefits or profits to eel farming? That sounds like a damn interesting hobby xD
Eel is becoming trendy in parts of Europe, and even America. Where I live (San Francisco) is basically the wierd/trendy/progressive-food capital of America. The demand exists, and I potentially have the means to meet it. I also like the idea of being an eel farmer. "What do you do for a living?" "Oh, I'm an eel farmer"
