question about smell

I would hook the 440 to the controller cut it all the way down and try it. If it sucks in to bad hook your other fan to the intake and try again. A little trial and error should point you in the right direction.

You want your fan to suck the sides of your tent in, thats what a negative pressure does, if you dont have negative pressure in your tent, you will have a smell leak. A 440 may be overkill but you will upgrade your tent and light so just get the 440 now, put it on a speed controller if you want, but its not like the 440 will scrub the air way too much or give your plants way too much fresh air, those are good things.

Im not too worried about it im gonna use a speed control and an inline fan for intake
You won't need an intake fan, open the flaps on the bottom and ul be good, the 440 will pull air in from every opening your tent has, it won't need any help.
