Question about Sexing plants

I have my first grow started. I ordered regular seeds instead of the feminized.

I have a 400 watt light and room for 6 or 7 plants. I have 14 sprouts up. 2 are fem AK-48, so I have 4 spots open. I was going to grow the babies up and clone them to sex the plants.

I was wondering if I veg for about a month, can I throw all of them in the 12/12 flower room to determine sex. Then could I return the extra females back to the vegetation cycle? Or can I clone the females after they have started the 12/12 cycle?

I would like to keep a few mothers going.

Has anybody done this before?

Why do you want to veg them for over a month? They will be MONSTERS under that 400W HPS if they veg longer than 2 weeks. remember they can stretch up to three times the size of veg state in flowering. Also, it's not as hard to sex your plants as you think; you have a pretty wide margin of error if you just check them every day. Yes you can definitely clone from flowering moms, but I wouldn't recommend it after more than a week of 12/12, or they start to grow all crazy and take longer to root. I suggest re-vegging the intended moms

So you are saying it would be ok to throw them all in the 12/12 flower mode , and then re-veg all the extra females.

They are seedling now and I think it would be a month before they would ready for 12/12.
