Question about seeds + rep for any help!

Hey everyone, Im trying to flower two plants from seed with my other plants which have been LSTed for 4 weeks. I really want to grow these two seeds extremely small as a bday gift for a girl ive been seeing but im also REALLY nervous im going to get a male and ruin my crop. I know that I just need to watch for signs of a male but heres my question: If I see the signs of a male is it already to late? How fast will a male pollinate my girls? Am I being an idiot and putting my girls in danger or am I being over paranoid? (could be the weed I smoked lol) Any help will recieve +rep!

Don't fret it man just get yourself a good 10x-30x scope and look at the 4th-6th node on the plant when its in veg, you should see signs of its sex.

you'll have plenty of time to chop before its a danger if you watch them closely, so dont worry bout that and just watch em closely.

Im not vegging the seeds, im growing them into tiny little bonzi bushes as a gift. I have 5 cheese plants which have been LSTed for 4 weeks and they started flowering last week so the seeds are just starting out at 12/12 with the others.

any idea of about when or how long until they become an issue/I can tell sex? Thanks for the post!

Haha thanks, she also grows so im hoping she gets a kick out of it. But ya itll be fire for sure, all one and a half grams im thinking it will yield lol! Im using all six ff nutrients and I have it under a 600w sunpulse 3000k rated MH flowering bulb. check my thread ill be posting pictures of it in my cheese grow journal as it flowers.

im thinking when the pollen sacks open up..? not sure on how long week maybe 2 after showing signs of sex just as soon as you see balls chop!! and all will be good no probs..

Thanks for the post that's exactly what I needed to hear! How soon (roughly I know most plants prolly differ) should it show sex?

if your doing 12/12 from seed i would estimate somewhere around week 4-6, the plant still does go through a vegetive phase and must be mature to begin flowering, alternating nodes are also a sign of maturity.

you have time relax and thous news seedlings well be vary slow ide put them in a room with some light when the other are dark becase 12/12 to early can cause a plant to hermi in my experieance and theyll grow a little faster under 24hrs light.

Exatly as dark has said 12/12 from seed it will still go through a veg stage it will just stay small like you want it. and yea the nodes will go from even to uneven nodes in flower stage, just keep an eye out for balls and castrate if needed lmao

No offense meant but going 12/12 from seed or flipping to 12/12 real early cannot cause hermies on its own, it must of been caused by something else.

That is correct. Also 12/12 from seed does not guarantee small plants. RR grows 12/12 from seed and gets 54" plants.

BONZAI JANES ! Yes!!! Nice present for GF.....I've grown actual bonzai trees/plants for 30 yrs and they don't take nearly as much care and carefullness as weed!
On the male possibilities, after balls form, you'll have a few days till they mature adn release theri pollen.
Good luck, it'll be a great gift to your girl....maybe she'll smoke it and you'll get real lucky yourself!

Why don't you just snip a clone or two from your LST'd plant, then you know your plant will be female.

This thread reminds me of something similar and who knows, maybe one day you'll be copying his idea with the girl you like.
About 6 months-a year ago this guy did something we all thought was incredibley cool. He had this girl he liked real hardcore and was brainstorming how he was going to ask her to marry him, he came up with one of if not the best one ive ever heard- He took her engagement ring to her and he had this plant still fairly early into flowering, he took the ring and put it on one of the branches, the plants buds grew around the ring and completely hid it inside the nug. then he went and harvested and dried and cured as normal. well, anyway he waited till he saw a good chance and then asked her to pack up a bowl while he *did something in the other room* and of course the nug he had her packing was the special one.....she went "wtf? whats this?"...and then he went down on one knee and....well, you can guess the rest. The guys next project he said was to breed a strain for their 1rst wedding anniversary and name it after her.
