question about my air circulation

hey i just started trying to grow and couldnt figure out why my plants wouldnt sprout in my grow tent until i figured it was because there was no oxygen in there lol stupid i know, but i just set up my exhaust fan to draw air from the top of my tent and have it brought to the bottom like i read how youre supposed to do it on a grow forum somewhere. well i drew a diagram because im worried that since my exhaust is on the very top of the grow tent facing down that its gonna be drawing in air from lower in my tent then id like. heres the picture mine is the first one compared to how i think its supposed to be done, does it make no difference with mine versus the other one will it still work?

Your re-circulating the air? You need to hook up your intake(the lower one) to a source of fresh air and your exhaust(the upper one) need to go outside or out of the room your tent is in. The way you have it drawn out your tent will only get hotter and hotter as the day progresses. Fresh air is very important JAS

wait, so use my exhaust fan to draw air from the top of the grow tent and send it outside, then open flaps in the bottom of my grow tent so cool air can go in?

You got it now. If the exhaust gets stinky then simply put a carbon filter on the end in the tent. home this helps....JAS
