hey guys and gals. I have a question, lets say if i was growing :hump: and i had a girl go hermie and polinate one branch of my other girl and i got 3 seeds off of the polinated plant would the polinated plant be a mix of itself and the hermie? So lets say it was a blackberry and got polinated by a raspberry cough would it have both of its traits and i can call it coughing berry? lol. Thanks for the help and i apoligize if this seems like a stupid question ahead of time.

Thats not a stupid question. Yes this could be the outcome. This is known as cross pollination and can produce great outcomes. Like ak47 cross pollinated with white widow is called white Russian.

I wouldn't get my hopes up from seeds coming from a hermie. Expect issues unless you know how to make feminized seeds.

So far i hadnt had any issues. They are actually looking very nice! No hermie issues with them. The are all girls! No BALLS! The buds are looking great too! So i must of gotten lucky?

even making fems we still get herms, but if your strain is a deicated female.
not a herm plant, then them seeds could be fems. most likly.
but hermophidite pollen to a female will result in 80- 90% hermis..
but crossing strains is a lot of fun,

@cultivationart so far the seeds that came of the plant that got polinated are looking awesome! No hermies! Ive been checking them daily for balls but find nothing but fine females! lol...I hope they all come out great! Im positive the plant that turned hermie was a hermie. She had seeds and even got one of my other girls branch polinated, theres where i got the seeds from. I didnt take the one that turned out hermie, i trashed those. But from the one that got pollinated it seemed to work out great!

I had the same things happen to men and I am hopping I get good results like you. Because everything I ready some far says I shpuld end up with hermies.

hermies suck. they usually dont show dicks till ur bud is close to done then it fucks everything up.

You also need to look at the buds for hermi pollen bananas! They come in late in flower, so don't just look for balls you need to look at the buds and it is a yellow small banana looking thing. It almost looks like a white hair and you can miss them if you don't keep a close eye on them or you don't know what they look like. GL brotha

just so u dont veg a plant forever thats a hermie and u have no way of knowing it. that would sux

I know this is old, but just for anyone's sake reading in the future, if you would grow out some of the seeds that came from the "hermie to female" pollination, and then back crossed some of the resulting strong male's with whichever original female you prefer, you could stabilize the genetics a bit. That's how you would work out a new strain through selective breeding.

Thanks for the answer! Well lets hope that these "coughing berries" come out sweet!!
RC is ok. Too high of a herm ratio. But the bud that comes out good, comes out good.

IME

When a herm pollinates itself the seeds will be 70 - 90% herm.

If a herm pollinates another female I would speculate you could end up with between 30 - 70% depending on the female.

YMMV
