Question About Getting Strains To Grow Their Respective Colors.

Hello all. I was wondering about something. All the time I see something like, a picture of some blueberry bud, and its blue, but then I see other pics and its green just like the weed I get. If I wanted to grow some blueberry, how could I get it to grow nice and blue. Or purple, or whatever specialty colors are out there. It has to be indoors, I'd be using CFLs only for lighting, premium quality grow closet with C02, nutes, foliar spray, all that. I just noticed that sometimes people's plants will grow just, regular green, but I would love to see some nice different colors in mine. Any body?

I was thinking of crossing something like blueberry with something else that has really defined Red hairs. But I need it to GROW blue, not just taste like it. Its a personal matter.

Whenever you see these plants that show up different coloured hues they usually say when grown under optimum condition.

Uses the Rollitup profile
The colors of the plant are brought out by lighting and maturity. The lighting must be sufficient and the plant must be flowered long enough to ripen. Of course, not all strains will turn colors, but many will when ripened in the sun, and may not when ripened under artificial light.

HTH

I just dont understand why everyone wants to put some weird taste in their weed, whats wrong with the taste of skunk, thats the flavour i live for.

absolutely nothing is wrong with the taste of skunk buddy :) But when you live in what is basically cock sucking COP CENTRAL, where half the population of this damn city are cops, growing skunk weed isn't exactly the smartest choice. All it'd take is one pig to go jogging down my road, past my house (which actually happened yesterday as a matter of fact), sniff sniff, bang, I'm busted.

Not to say that when I move into a bigger house and accumulate better, more hidden grow areas, I wont then, cuz I will. I want to try all tastes. But for me, I've never seen blue or purple weed before, and I just think it'd be really cool to have some. Thanks yall I figured that's what's up, just wasn't sure if maybe there was some special technique yall might have up yer sleeves to help with the hues. On the other hand I do have an awesome CFL setup. 28, 27 watt CFLs. One Row of 8 will hang above the plants, and a row on both sides, 10 each. Plus I'm getting in some of those Duel Spectrum II from Stealth Hydro that I'll be adding to my arsenal of lighting. I've been thinking about maybe getting a couple of bat wing reflectors and hooking up a couple 200w HPS bulbs (if they make them 200W) to add to the setup. My thing is, I had so much trouble deciding whether to go with CFLs or HID, I'm probably gonna wind up using a little of both. Its pretty cool.

I have read some where that the colors are sometimes brought on by the cooler weather of fall, like leaves changing color.
I also saw that cooler temps in resevoirs with hydro grows will induce colors.
I can't remember if that was pot specific or just from some general hydoponic literature.
Hope that helps:peace:
