ok so i need some tips - when i flush with 2 weeks left to go - does the water i flush with HAVE to be correct p.h?

i dont intend on feeding the plant with nuters again so i was just going to use my tap water which is like 7.8 ph - saves me buying shit loads of water as i have 16 plants!!??

i was thinkin on jus using tap water then not watering or feeding them again untill i harvest them - what do u lot think?

let me know - peace

I see no problem with it, you dont have to worry about "Locking" any thing out, there nothing there.

i will do that - think its around p.h 6.5 - but im saying for the last 2 weeks of the grow when i flush - will i need to flush with ph.'d water as i wont be feeding it or watering it again after the flush - this will be the last time so does it still need to be p.h.d ?????????

I grow in COCO and i plan on flushing twice before i harvest.

This will probably be over 1 week. FLUSH 3 times the pot size with a flush additive on say Monday
Then flush 3 times the pot size of ph'd water at 6 on say thursday
Then harvest maybe saturday.

I dont see the need in starving a plant when it needs food the most.

I have discussed this very thing with some of the VET's on this site and alot of them agree that 2 flushes prior to harvest will remove any excess nutes.

If you have your growing dialed in with nutes etc then there is not going to be a massive build up of chems in your plants because you are only giving them what they are using. this is why we test EC ppms ph etc to make sure we dont burn them from too much or cause def's if we feed to little or have wrong ph's.

Just something for you to consider.

I always PH adjust everything i give my plants.

wow! if you flush 2 x times before you harvest your buds are going to take AGES to dry out - i was told that if you flush 2 weeks left before harvest then dont water or feed again your buds dry out soooo much faster - i dont have weeks and week to leave my buds hanging upside down dude - thanks for the input tho - much appreciated

my buds take around 7days to dry using my dry box i made.

Would you like the link to the drybox to see if it fits your bill?

Your not starving the plant when you flush. your letting the plant use up the nutes stored in the plant. I flush 2 weeks before harvest 3 to 1 and use water only after the flush untill harvest..

The 2week flush thing that you are referring to i think is the flush 3times the pot size once 2weeks before harvest and then nothing but water from that moment on.

If you flush once 2 weeks before you chop they are gonna be almost dead when you harvest.

You still want the plant alive and green at harvest time.

...experiment if you'd like. The thing about soil is, although alot of people may disagree, you can't flush it. Overwatering soil will not wash out bat shit. "Flushing" is more of a hydroponic thing. Soil and hydroponics are not the same. I personally "leach" my soil ( water only for 3 weeks ) w/ pH'd water....and that's just to save money. Good luck.

I did say i grow in COCO not soil.

and that is what i do. flush twice before i harvest over the space of a week.

And that i always ph everything even plain water.

If it helps you to know ENGLAND a standard wheely bin for the home holds around 200litres of water.

nope not at all. the fans will start to turn yellow but thats normal. I also grow in coco or have for the last 2 years or so. I just went back to soil for the outside plants. I use the 3 to1 to jump start then leach the last 2 weeks.

you can bring you ph down with a little lemon juice if you want. I don't ph much the last few weeks but my tap is just over 7. next harvest I'm going to flush one with DI water. It should pull just about everything from the soil. want to see if it kills the plant. I use DI water to remove hard water spots "cal"
