Question about flowering and drying

Hey,

So heres my problem, this is my first year growing and I have two beautiful plants, both are mid point in flowering and lots of big healthy buds. But I am growing outdoors and when it comes time to cut the plants down i have no place to dry the buds indoors ! So I am wanting some input on to what I can do to dry or if it is even possible to dry outdoors? What would the best approach be to this.

I am drying in a barn. I am using string and drying racks. I have a fan if I need but there is good air cirulation.

does the barn have heating or anything ? cause there are abandon buildings but wouldn't bugs get there or it would get moldy

im growing in a barn too, the top level where its a bit hotter, because in October it gets chilly, 40's at night. Also might put a fan up there for air circulation like laney. As for your Droop101, you could set up a tent and dry them in there. Or you could get a cardboard box and make a lil box for them to dry in there in a dark cool shady spot and maybe put a tarp over the box so it doesnt get rained on. I have no idea man, im crossing my fingers that the barn works out for me to be honest, GL.

Any outbuilding is fine. Sweep it out and set up your drying system. Have a fan handy in case you need it. No probs.

Yeah I'd say work with what you have to work with and hope for the best man. I'm also in the same predicament with approx. 2lbs of bud to dry come mid October outside, in a North eastern climate LOL. I know everyone says find a way to put them inside but pounds of weed drying indoors just friggin reeks lol. It's far more of a security problem for me indoors than setting up an outdoor dry area would be. Anyway wish you's all luck and hopefully we'll have a good harvest year

oh boy...I've been there before. Grew a nice garden once, didn't even think about harvesting it....wound up with a bunch of stuff and no place to put it. If you have an out building, that should be fine, bugs don't usually mess with it once it's cut. Moldcould be a problem depending on your temp/humidity in there. Dehumidifiers and fans if it's cold and wet, fans and A/Cs or swamp coolers if it's dry and hot.If you out building will won't work you have to make one....the tent idea is good IMO.

people who grow outdoors dry indoors?? Wifey here hates the smell during flowering during drying or smoking all gets done outside (she does not use it either)

last year I was stressing about where outside to dry.. wanted a place that got some heat and wind flow and indirect light.. this was how they looked and dried great.. added a fan to get better airflow no mold now rot.. temps were 80-95 in Nov when I harvested last year'

Okey I can find a place to dry outside but is it must, to have a fan, I know the air is suppose to circulate when drying but will the wind be able to do the same thing ?

I will have a fan on hand, but I plan on keeping some of the barn doors open. I think the freely circulating air will be enough. If it's too windy, I'll shut the doors. It's really only indoors or in a tightly closed shed that I think you need a fan.

Just get a box about the size of a microwave. run bamboo skewers through the corrugated fiber and lace up a drying line inside the box. cover with a tablecloth or other light colored material.

ta-da!

Okey so I have decided on using a small one person tent and buying a tarp to put over the tent to keep light out and provide extra protection form the elements and rain. I have also bought a portable fan that runs on batteries I will keep in the tent and turn on if needed, as for the microwave idea does it work well ? I never thought of it. also when I turn the fan on it shouldn't be directly blowing on the buds correct?

I'm hanging in a barn for three days, then into paper bags for three days and into the curing jars.
