Question about feminized seeds and using colloidal silver

note eastcoastmo, that CS will give you feminized seeds, it is not a mutagen therefore not capable of generating stamen with XY chromosome(using CS will guarantee you XX chromosome (female) stamen)

oh well its next time already . started two iranian autoflowers vegged for five weeks then sprayed one for one week and flipped her to 12/12 kept spraying for one more week and put girl number two with her under 12/12. after another week i had lots of balls just starting to open on girl one and pistols aplenty on girl 2. i also had a female red hair skunk in my flower room that was prime for pollen. i cut girl one off turned her upside down and tapped the balls lightly with a wooden dowel. that was about 16 days ago. both plants are fucking loaded with seed. i wonder what the iaf skunk red hair skunk cross will be like? anybody know? the iaf has at least a thousand seeds on her.

yeah man its weird. i am more excited about growing out that cross to see what happens. might put some real taste and color in the iaf while iaf will pick up the potency in the red hair. one way to find out lol. peace outNice work man, you're set for seeds now

I have reversed an autoxtreme and some of the pollen sacks are opening. Some of the male stamen are even yellow.........but when I tappen the flower cluster over a black surface, nothing fell down. Does anyone know what might have happened? Do yellow stamen = pollen, or are they always yellow no matter if they have produced pollen or not? Do I need to dry them before I will notice any powder falling off? thanks

Sounds like the pods just didnt produce pollen. My sugar haze did the same!

ok thanks, I didn't know some plants won't produce pollen even though they grow sacks lol Seems like a massive waste of time. Just gonna wait and see if I can salvage anything.
Is is a genetic thing? i.e. will all the sacks on one plant not produce any pollen? Or can say 95% not produce pollen but a few of the sacks might be able to produce even a light dusting? cheers

OK good news, I followed some other guys tec for gettin pollen from apparantly sterile hermies: I got a small plastic box and lined it with foil, then I picked some of the male flowers out of the female buds, but onlly the ones that were starting to crack open. Then once they were all in the foil, i got a clean razor blade and opened each one up, and what do you know, about 8 of the 30 or so I collected had a very small amount of pollen hanging around inside (u might have to fiddle with the bananas a bit) and use a cotton bud (AKA q-tip) to transfer any pollen u can salvage directly onto the recipient female flowers. Took about an hour, and I have no idea if it will work yet, but I did it thoroughly so I have my fingers crossed

Ok thought I would ask here instead of forming a new thread, as it's related anyway.
I have a sannies killing fields fem that I would like to cross with a barnies critical kush, also fem.
So both plants are fem, can I use CS on one girl and use the pollen from that herm on the opposite plant?
Are there any negatives to this? I imagine a wide range of phenotypes would emerge. Would the seeds then be fem too? Would it be more wise to get some reg seeds and find a suitable male?
I also just got a few freebie autos, so I am considering doing a seed run on those by turning one with CS and pollinating the other, are the new generations of autos stable enough to keep their auto genes or is it still temperamental as the original rud crosses?

should be no problem. ive done that before but you will end up with an s2 . dont go further than that. dont know about the autos stability

As for sterile plants and genetics, I doubt it would be, it's just some pods don't produce pollen
that's my limited knowledge anyway 
ok guys sorry i have tried to start my own thread to ask this question, but i can not figure out how to, so i will ask the question here and hope i am in the right place, the question is
What am i doing wrong? i am trying to get pollen using CS on a female, i have 1 week left to pollinate my plants, i have 5 weeks left till i harvest, i have been spraying with CS every day up to 5 or 6 times a day for over 3 weeks now, now i am not getting hairs or buds starting, so good sign, but also not getting balls, just nothing is happening while in the mean time the rest of the plants are budding like mad, if i can not get pollen in a week i will not be able to get viable seeds, the plants i am CSing are clones of 2 other plants, i tries hard to stress these 2 plants to hermy them to get seeds, but that did not work, so i cloned them, i assumed that if i could not stress them the female genes were too strong in them and i was not going to get seeds, then i found out about CS, but now it seems that will not work either, all it seems to have done is make me lose bud, if there is any other way to get pollen from a female i am listening, i am getting desperate as i can not keep buying seeds, i was lucky to get the lot i have through customs as it is and these 2 variaties are the ones i wanted the most, bubblicious and thc bomb, both were meant to be regular seeds, but all turned female so i can not breed them the way i am used to, also if there is another way it would be awesome, as i got 2 WW seeds for free with the order, both are fem, and if i can keep them without crossing that would be awesome
quick edit, if i clone these clones, i know the smoke will be shit, but will i be able to seed those clones? only asking because in 2-3 weeks i may be able to get pollen of a friend, not from these strain, big bud, so i will not be too upset with the cross, what i mean is, if i seed the 2nd generation of clones, will the seeds be viable and will they grow decent plants?

the seeds should be just as viable as a plant from seed. on the cs, is your ppm high enough? should be at least 50. if your ppm is right it should work at the rate you are using it. if not it should at least be stressing the shit out of it. actually if it was right at the rate you are spraying it should kill it.
