Just pay yur bill and it's never too much. Trust me, they just want your money. They higher the bill you have AND PAY, the better the customer you are for them. Why would the electric company snitch out their highest paying customers? Corporations don't do that.

Electric companies make more bank off you. They wont care, they are running a business.. But I have heard as a rule of thumb, that you are safe with have 1 kw light for every room in the house w/o raising suspicion. Personally been over that rule though and no issues.

that's mostly true about there being nothing to worry about

but if you're asking if it'll be noticable, yes

it will look like you installed a full sized furnace

so if you have a landlord looking at the bill, expect suspicion

anything under 1000 watts can be passed off as a computer

where i live, there are a certain amount of kilowatts per month that you can consume before you start paying a premium

so after a certain point, it becomes less cost-to-output wise to keep adding wattage

you really gotta look up your city's power rates, premiums, on-and-off-peak hours, etc

it's some complex math in some cases to figure out how much shit will cost per month and at certain points in the year

but if i had to guess... 80-100 extra dollars per month during veg sounds about right for 2k watts

i pay about 25-45 extra per month - depending on the season and growth stage - for a 900 total watt grow

don't forget, fans can run over 100 watts

so would a ladlord still check the bill if it was rent + hydro ? since im getting the bill..

or were you referring to rent(everything included) ?

im guessing everything included would be better for an apartment gro correct ? for suspision and all.

Man, electricity consumption would be the least of my concerns in an apartment grow.

Your hallway will wreak, no doubt.

I mean, maybe if you are on the top floor on a corner you could get by, maybe.

Just my opinion, and I've been wrong plenty of times before.

I once grew in the attic of my father's house years ago, ( third floor ) had 12 plants flowering, 12 plants growing plus clones. After a monthe or 2 or maybe more ( can't remember ) the whole house reeked, each time I came home from work and opened the front door I was blasted with the sweet smell, fortunately my father never mentioned it.

hook up a control box that will run both 1000's off 220 instead of trying to rig up 1000's to 110 watt outlets through 2 timers or something that could burn down apartment this will cost less in electric set up this way (digital balast use less electricity 2), also use inline fans to cool hoods and hook up carbon filters to inline fans to keep smell down(road kill skunk prob not a good choice of strains to use) you will probably need air conditioner also. good luck

that aint shit pay bill u good
if u run 20/4 instead of 24/0 it is only 600 kwh
or 18/6 which is what i run it is 540
some rest in darkness is good running 24/7 is for lazy people that dont want to set timer or think it makes it grow better
it dont and u can change all lights in house to cfl and turn stuff off when not using to make up difference
