question about "derived from"

so what does it mean where a bottle nutrients sais "derived from"? like it lists whats in it and then it has another part that sais derived from. does it mean that it has that in it?(what its saying derived from). could someone explain this? lol

Orange Juice is derived from Oranges - does that help?

ahh ok lmao. BUT, what if it is derived from oranges but doesnt list that it has orange juice in it??

Orange zest is derived from oranges but doesn't have orange juice in it

err ... nope, they both begin with the letter "M" and so does mandarin (like an orange but easier to peel).

hmm...ok then i still dont get it lol.if it sais something in the derived from, but doesnt list that thing in the list of nutrients that it contains. like derived from "random nute" soluble. does that mean that the soluble is in it?
