Question about cfls

It works ok. I have a 150w with a clamp over 2 plants. You would need alot, I actually need to get more.

if you remove the "hood you can mount your lights closer together. More light is always good. Even more so when you use cfl. Most only use it for rooting cuttings and for the veg grow.

how many plants u got ? I use clf and have about 200w above my plant, clf all the way my baby 2 weeks on 12/12 n have flowers already! i say remove the hoods but i dont know too much lol

I was wondering if I should take the hoods off of them and run them sideways or just leave them with the hoods on and point them straight down towards the plant. I heard cfls give more light off the sides but it seems like these hoods reflect alotta light. Which way is the best way to go ?

Ive never heard the side thing but ill be open to it. My suggestion would be if you have atleast 12 run 6 straight down with space in between and then fill in the cracks with ones that dont have the shield running them sideways.

Whats the top of your box looking like? White wall or lamin X... (ive been working on my car to much, that should say mylar)
