I would suggest that you put All of those lights in the box, burn them for a day, then take the temperature inside the box to see how hot it gets.i was wondering if i have enough light to grow one good weed plant in this grow box i just built.
i gutted an old speaker, its about 2 ft tall, a foot wide, and a foot deep.
the lights i have are: a 2 foot florescent tube (20 watt t10 grow light from walmart) vertical on the back wall, a 23 wat cfl, an 18 watt cfl, and a 7 wat cfl.
also the entire box is painted pure white.
im planing on useing soil.
will i be able to get a plant and any bud?
thanks, i might be able to get another 15watt cfl in there if you think it would help. and ill take the temp tommorow and post it hereI would suggest that you put All of those lights in the box, burn them for a day, then take the temperature inside the box to see how hot it gets.
Tell us then too.
Enough? There is a bare minimum to keep a plant alive and there is AMPLE. You have enough..not ample, but enough.
im going to put a small fan inside it, would that work? or how could i set up a fan to vent without making the box noticeable? Are you venting the box with fan?
well im kinda low on money, which is why i want to grow my own weed so i dont have to buy it. i might get one of those lights if my first grow is a successful oneIf you have a box that size, don't mess around with half a dozen different bulbs. Go and grab yourself a couple of 150Watt CFL's from Home Depot. They will be all you need. Putting a fan in there is a great idea, on the lowest setting you can get.
