I just went through the same thing because I forgot to set up my flowering for off peak hours. I've been pushing my time back 15 minutes a day (some days I forget). It has taken a few weeks, but it was worth not stressing out the girls. Should save me over $45 a month of electricity and keeps my temps at 77 during lights on instead of 80. I've seen no bad consequences of doing it this way

Technically the plants are not in flower yet. You just turn the lights down. Flowering starts when you see pistils... Do 24 hours of light, and turn it on at 11am and then turn them off the next day at 7. That's when you'll start.

Thanks for playing!

do a 24hr dark period and then start them at the time you need them too. Won't stress them too much and lets the ladies know that the days are about to get shorter

I highly doubt a one time change will produce a hermie... I mean I've messed up my hours by a few a couple times during flower already and it hasn't cause a hermie. I would wait on some more experienced people to give you an answer, but I would just go for it since you're that busy. I'm sure the earlier in flower you do it the better.
